Our History
2007
Konvergence, began its life as an innovative start-up when a small team of IT experts specialising in Retail and store solutions, pinpointed a gap in the market, founding the company after noticing how fragmented many Retail processes were at that time, especially in the areas of loyalty, payments and point of sale services.
2008
Initially starting out with the launch of the new products KLOY and KPROMO, the new 'National Competence Centre' in Campobasso was set up. The centre soon blossomed into a company determined to offer help on systems via its top level rapid response customer support team, open 365 days a year. In the same year, the electronic payment platform KPAY was set up and launched.
2017-2020
Koncentro, the first Customer Data Platform to offer omni-channel marketing, was designed and launched. Nexi and Konvergence launched a collaboration integrating the software Kiara Cloud into SmartPOS giving merchants complete control of their business through highly effective user-friendly software.
2021-2022
Koncentro was further enhanced with the use of algorithmic marketing modules via the use of key machine learning technologies able to generate targeted promotional campaigns. Kpay was further enriched with the addition of new functions and integrations. The ability to purchase digital products directly at the till was added. Digital vouchers and gift cards can be used and purchased from any of the touchpoints from the store to e-commerce via the retailer's mobile app.
2023
Konvergence closed 2022 with a turnover of 20 million euros and 110 employees, ranking as one of the leading providers of innovative solutions and services for retail markets both in Italy and in the rest of Europe. One more new component, the couponing module, has been added to the Koncentro marketing platform. Kpay has also been certified once again as a recognised "POS terminal" by Italy's Bancomat Pay.
